Juniper Berry
Tea

A juniper berry is not a true berry, but is a seed cone with unusually fleshy and merged scales that give it a berry-like appearance. Used as a spice in European cuisine, juniper berry has been used in herbal medicine to support healthy kidney and urinary tract function, and to promote healthy blood pressure. The essential oil is stimulating to the kidneys, acting as a diuretic. The warming and bitter properties aid digestion and ease intestinal gas. Juniper berry is also warming for the joints.
