First- I love this brand, the flavorings, the price point and even the packaging. This flavor is my favorite because it has the kick of chili yet sweetness of cinnamon, I always have my cabinet stocked.

My all time favorite tea.

This tea has an amazing peppery flavor that is softened by a hint of sweetness. It is addictive! The only complaint I can make about it is that it is almost impossible to find in stores. I am grateful that I can order it on the website.

Nourishing and Stimulating

Aztec Sweet Chili is rich, warming, and nourishing. It's also very smooth. Though Cayenne is near the bottom of the list of ingredients (typically this means there's less of it used than everything else above it), its effect is very strong and its taste is prominent (this doesn't mean it's unwelcome or out of place). But I'm going to have to use a little word play: "As above, so below." Unfortunately, while cayenne is near the bottom as has a strong taste, cacao is near the top* (*by amount) as has a fairly weak presence. It might have been that I infused my tea bags for too long or too short a time, but the cacao is overpowered by the strong spices. BE WARNED -- licorice, fennel, and anise all have very strong tastes in this tea. If you're not a fan, reconsider. I personally taste mostly anise and cayenne when I drink this... but I do drink it often, because I love it. All in all, Aztec Sweet Chili is a hugely warming, spicy, filling, energizing, cleansing, satisfying tea. Best drunk during cold times, after or before dinner, or -- if you're like me and your stomach's made of steel -- in the morning and all throughout the day. Caution: cayenne causes heavy irritation to those with allergic inflammation of the tonsils. Also, don't use this tea as a face scrub!

Hidden Flavors

This tea is just as flavorful and interesting as all the other reviews say, but BE WARNED: it isn't mentioned in the description on here or on the box, but licorice/fennel are ingredients, and to me licorice is the strongest flavor of the tea. I'm not usually a big fan of licorice, but I've gotten used to it in this tea. It's still really good, but in the interest of fair warning it really tastes like licorice.

I can't stop drinking this!

I can only find this particular flavor of Yogi tea at one store by my home, and yesterday--bone-tired after work--I drove out of my way to get it! The flavor is intense and complex. As a bonus, it also clears your head (and sinuses, if need be). I also find that I can get the anti-inflammatory benefits of the cayenne without the tea aggravating my reflux.

Fantastic!!!

This is one of the best tasting teas I've ever had! It's so flavorful and there is no need to add sugar or honey. Try brewing it in milk instead of water for a hot coco type drink smile

Amazing & wonderful

I am a fan of spice.. a huge fan of cayenne. As one of the other reviewers noted they heard cayenne was good for you thats an understatement according to medical journals.. 3 years ago med journals came out with overwhelming results in lab tests showing they believe cayenne pepper kills cancer cells & it only makes sense. Regardless of the health benefits.. if you like cinnamon red hots.. or spice in general this is hands down a favorite of mine!! Just bought a box a week ago & ready to buy another. Adore this tea.

What a find!

I found a box of this under its old name (Mexican Sweet Chili) at a discount store and instantly fell in love. It is such a different taste -- not at all like chai, but just as sweet and spicy. I love it! Oh, and when I went back to the store the next day to buy more, it was all gone! :-(

A Party In Your Mouth ; )

I just tried the Aztec Sweet Chili tea which was recommended to me by a friend as we were sharing tips on how to curb our appetite at night...well, this was her recommendation. This tea is so layered with delicious flavors...choclate, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom & the cayenne pepper is so tasty! I love Yogi teas...I have yet to taste one I do not like.

My favorite

I had read about the Aztecs drinking a chocolate drink with cayenne and other flavors in a hot chocolate book, and had been wanting to try it for months. But to find the combination in tea form, without the heaviness of melted chocolate so I can drink cup after cup has made my year!! Thank you Yogi for making this tea! If you haven't tried this tea, please don't. After just my first box the store ran out. If more people get wise to how good this tea is, where am I going to get mine from????

Amazing flavor in every sip!

Like all the other reviews I love this tea!! I was intrigued by the name and I heard that cayenne was good for you so I gave it a shot. Great depth of flavor. Yum!

Great Tea!

This tea is great! I wish they sold it at more stores other than healthfood stores. Now that the fall and winter is here it will be a good treat. I wonder if they make this in loose tea also.

Amazing!

I discoverd this tea at an Earth Fare store and was intrigued. I love spicy things but was a little hesitant about drinking a hot, spicy tea.....I should have not feared!!! This tea is simply THE best and I have taken to buying whatever is on the shelf when they have it (because it is so hard to get!) Highly recommended, I have the highest regard for Yogi Teas...thank you!

Favorite Tea Ever

I didn't think I'd like this based on the description, but it turned out it was my favorite tea ever. It's sweet. It's spicy. It's chocolatey. It's delicious. Unfortunately, it's extremely hard to find. The only place that carries it is Yogi.

Very intriguing

This is one of the most interesting teas I have ever tasted. It has so many different flavors in each sip. Everyone I have recommended it to has loved it.

Sweet and Spicy

I was hesitant to even try this when I got the free sample (thanks again Yogi!) I ended up drinking it only because I had exhausted all other tea resources. I wish I had tried this sooner! It's flavor will definitely surprise you... it's spicy, but not overwhelming with a hint of sweet (hence the name). I'm not a food critic nor a tea connoisseur, but I highly recommend you try this tea!!
