Experts Weigh in on Resolutions

Dr. Oz posted his recommendations for improving your life in the new year. I like his pragmatic approach. I especially like that he suggests yoga (seven minutes per day to get you started). And he is serious about getting enough sleep, for which he suggests going to bed earlier. From the Ayurvedic perspective, vata and pitta should retire before 10:00 p.m., and kaphas should hit the hay between 10:30 and 11:30.
And no less an authority on the nation's zeitgeist than the New York Times weighed in with a set of suggestions to make us healthier and happier. I was impressed that the list included a switch to whole grains.
Interestingly, both experts recommended getting a pedometer. Go figure. Office footraces, anyone?
