I have not been able to find Soothin caramel Bedtime tea at our local healt food & grocery stores ? Where can I find it in the Orange County area ? Thank-you

  • Robin @ Yogi Tea says:

Great question, Cindy! Your best bet to find Yogi Soothing Caramel Bedtime Tea is at your local Whole Foods or Natural food store. Might I suggest calling ahead to verify that they carry this particular item as individual store selection and availability may vary. I hope this helps!

    Dear Yogi

Will the Calufornia poppy component in the bedtime tea cause a false positive in a standard cup urine screen for opiate levels ? Unfortunately I am afraid to enjoy a beverage without determining if the government can twist it against my character. I appreciate your response and love your natural delicious healthy products. Thank you in advance for your response. Sincerely. Namaste Angela M Brett. Owner. AmazingArt

Thank you for your question, Angela!

Yogi Soothing Caramel Bedtime contains 19 mg of California Poppy Plant Extract per tea bag. We can confirm that we have not received any reports of a consumer failing a workplace drug test after drinking Yogi Soothing Caramel Bedtime. At the same time, we cannot guarantee that use of the product would not produce a “false positive” on a urine drug test, because California Poppy contains alkaloids that are similar to those found in opiates. Similarly, eating poppy seeds, a common food ingredient derived from a species of poppy in the same family as California Poppy, could result in a “false positive” for opiates in some drug tests. Also, it has been reported that “false positive” results in drug tests following consumption of lawful food and dietary ingredients derived from poppy are generally not the same as positive results obtained after the use of illegal, banned opiates.

However, in light of your concerns, we would suggest our Yogi Bedtime tea as an alternative. Bedtime tea does not contain California Poppy Extract, yet it is also purposely formulated to promote restful sleep. Click here to learn more about this tea.

Thank you again for reaching out, and we welcome you to email with any further questions.

    Be well!
