Benefits of Tea Boost Its Popularity

Here at Yogi, we’ve always known that tea, besides tasting wonderful, was also supportive to your overall well being. Now, Yogi offers a large collection of herbal teas, but this time we’re talking about what most Americans think of as “tea”, the leaf that becomes the familiar green and black teas. Tea (green and black) is the second-most-consumed beverage in the world, after water, so there’s no doubt it’s very well-liked, but recent scientific discoveries about its health-improving benefits have caused its popularity to soar.

According to a recent article in the Washington Post, tea’s polyphenol antioxidants, which protect against oxidative stress, are part of the picture, but some lesser-known active ingredients also contribute to the lift in well-being from this tasty drink. You can read the full article here.

What could be a better way to start your day than a soothing cup of health-boosting brew?

Be Well,
