Natural Support for Healthy Skin

Raise your hand if you know your body’s largest organ. Think it’s your brain? OK, maybe you can make that claim, but for the rest of us, it’s the skin.

Your skin’s condition reflects the health of the body you have cleverly hidden beneath it. Considering that it is the barrier between you and the hostile world, it’s important to keep your skin healthy and strong.

Natural support can be a good long term solution for maintaining healthy skin. According to many traditional herbal systems, skin inflammation can arise from an accumulation of waste at the cellular level, and is therefore viewed as a problem of detoxification.

Ayurveda in particular has a sophisticated perspective, teaching that the skin has six layers, and these layers are located not only superficially, but extend to the deeper levels of the body. In other words, a skin situation is not just ‘skin-deep.’ In fact, Ayurveda calls inflamed skin “that which comes out from the inner part to the outer part.”

At Yogi, we’ve created a unique tea called Skin DeTox to support the skin. It combines several herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda and other herbal traditions, including Oregon Grape RootBurdock Root, as well as cleansing Dandelion Root and Yellow Dock Root. We also add fragrant Rose Petal, traditionally used to cool and soothe the skin.

To clean up the outside, you have to clean up the inside. Enjoy lightly sweet and floral Yogi Skin DeTox tea throughout the day to support your healthy glow.*

Be well,
Karta Purkh Singh Khalsa

  • Katie says:

Is this tea ok to use while breastfeeding?

  • Yogi says:

Thank you for your question, Katie! We’re happy to provide you with information regarding our Skin DeTox tea.

At Yogi, we take a conservative stand when it comes to individual health, especially when it concerns expectant and nursing mothers. While not all of our teas carry warnings, please note that Yogi Skin DeTox does carry a warning to consult your healthcare provider prior to use if you are pregnant or nursing, taking any medication or if you have a medical condition.

In light of this warning and given that everyone responds uniquely to particular herbs and botanicals, we recommend you consult your qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding the consumption of Yogi Skin DeTox while nursing. He or she is best suited to identify any substances to which you may be uniquely sensitive during this time.

Thank you again, and please let us know if you have any further questions. Be well!

  • Daniela says:

This tea is extremely delicious. I just have one question… do the organic flavors such as; Pomegranate and Rose include sugar?

  • Yogi says:

Thank you for your question, Daniela! Some of the natural/organic flavors used in our teas do contain a small amount of sucrose (less than 200 mg per tea bag). While the Natural Rose Flavor and the Natural Pomegranate Flavor used in our teas do not contain sucrose, the following natural flavors do: Natural Butterscotch Flavor, Natural Tangerine Flavor, Natural Coconut Flavor, Natural Honey Flavor, Natural Boysenberry Flavor and Natural Orange Flavor. We hope this information is helpful!

  • Katrina says:

I’m having trouble with breakouts around my chin area. Will this help clear my troubled area???

  • Yogi says:

Hi Katrina! This particular Yogi tea is formulated to support a skin care regimen. It contains herbs used in Ayurveda to cool and soothe the skin, along with herbs traditionally used to support the liver and promote cleansing. Please note that this tea is not formulated to cure any specific skin conditions, and we remind you to consult your dermatologist or healthcare provider with any questions you may have about your skin’s health. He or she is best suited to address your concerns and make recommendations based on your individual health profile. Thank you & Be well!

  • Saadia says:

    Good morning,

I want to know if I can drink Healthy skin tea and Detox tea the same day. Alternating a cup of each.

    Thank you!

  • Becca Lesser says:

Hi Saadia, thanks so much for your question!

Yogi DeTox is appropriate for daily use, but as a general suggestion, we recommend taking a break of up to 7 days after 4 weeks of daily consumption. It is fine to drink other Yogi teas during this time, like Cinnamon Vanilla Healthy Skin tea.

I hope this is helpful, and please let me know if you have any further questions!

  • Katrina Thurman says:

I would like to know if you have a team that helps relieve inflammation in the body.

  • Yogi says:

    Hi there Katrina,

Thank you for reaching out to Yogi! While we do not currently make a tea specifically for inflammation, we do have two teas that you might be interested in trying:
    Yogi Green Tea Muscle Recovery

Please note that these suggestions are not intended to replace any professional medical recommendations, and we remind you to always consult your physician or a qualified health care professional with any specific questions about your health.

    Enjoy and be well!
