Team Yogi Participates in 2017 Eugene Race for the Cure

RFTC 2017 Team Yogi

Here at Yogi, we’re proud to embrace partnerships with organizations that support quality, sustainability, and social responsibility. With the common goal of Awakening Goodness, our partnerships empower others to achieve their greatest potential and live vibrant lives.

This month, we were honored to serve our local Eugene, Oregon community through our partnership with the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Oregon & S.W. Washington, a local organization supporting those impacted by cancer; by participating in the 2017 Eugene Race for the Cure®.

Susan G. Komen Foundation of Oregon & S.W. Washington &  Eugene Race for the Cure®

Since 1991, Susan G. Komen Foundation of Oregon & S.W. Washington has raised over $31 Million for local breast cancer research, advocacy, and survivor and fighter support to ensure that those in the Eugene community have access to the care they need. Nearly one in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, and in Lane County, OR; home to Yogi headquarters, the incidence rate is even higher – one in seven.

For the past seven years, the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Oregon & S.W. Washington has held the Eugene Race for the Cure®, where thousands of participants and volunteers work towards the common goal of raising funds for local breast cancer survivors and fighters. This year, Yogi was proud to support our local community as both a participant and event sponsor; with Team Yogi ultimately raising over $10,000 for those impacted by breast cancer in our community.

Though the 2017 Eugene Race for the Cure® race date has passed, we encourage those who are interested in supporting this cause to learn more by visiting Susan G. Komen Foundation of Oregon & S.W. Washington and Susan G. Komen Foundation.
